I remember in the Talent competition, Mercedes was singing "Twinkle,
Twinkle Little Stars" and would NOT
give her microphone up, so sure enough I went on stage to talk her out
of it. Then the kids and I went
skating following the pageant. What a great day, I could be a kid all
over again. LOL. Later, my duty of 4 years
was served and the choice had to be made, so Kim and I (mostly Kim)
decided to move back to her small
hometown in OK so her children could grow up in a small community (where
everyone knows everyone in this
OK town) LOL. So here we are today in Marietta, OK. I work a full time
job as an Assistant Manager for Valero,
and Kim stays busy with pageants and being a stay ! at home mom to my
two wonderful stepchildren, Mercedes &
Trevor. Ever since I have met Kim, she has always enjoyed taking portfolio
pictures and practice taking photogenic
pictures for new children coming into the pageant world, back then retouching
wasn't a super BIG issue. LOL. Her
love for photography showed throughout the years, and she would host
photo shoots at our home for several
photographers, because this is something she would want to do and help
her kids get great pictures. I thought the
idea was kind of cool, got to meet a lot of parents and the beautiful
children. A few of our dear friends, that viewed
Kim's pageant work from the past always tried to convince her, wow you
should be a photographer or hey...”
Can you take my daughter's pic?” So of course, she was like “Yeah, come
on over and I will even do their Hair and
makeup.” A few months ago, I decided as an early gift for Kim, that
I would update her came! ra by buying her the
best camera on the market according to other photo labs and equipment
stores, so I did. The camera came in and
Wow, we were both excited. I was super interested in it and wanted to
go set up a late night shoot that night, so all
the family was posing and I was camera happy. I read the book, and thought
wow this is all the fun I been missing out
on, I can see why Kim likes this Photo stuff. One of our dear friends,
called and asked if we could help her get a winning
photogenic since we have our new camera, well I ended up shooting her
pictures and there was so many awesome
headshots, of course I deleted them all on accident after I shot them
(thank God she did not have to pay!!). So next step
was, lets buy the state of the art awesome real studio lights so indeed
did a lot of researching and purchased the set I felt
would be best. I decided this is a hobby for me! I would like to thank
a wonderful TX photograph! her for all his advice
and guidance through our new adventure, a very great man (you know who
you are), also had 2 other photographers
from out of state that was very helpful in answering questions. After
comparing our work, Kim & I have both decided
that I am a better photographer and she is a better stylist, this is
how we both work together to accomplish the beautiful
pageant pictures. Where did the name come from? I have to give all this
credit to my very best friend, a lady that means
the world to me and her daughter we have known for several years, and
always been pleasant to be around. When I was
talking about the photo business, she was so excited for me and thought
of this wonderful name for us, like photographer
starts with P and stylist starts with K
So put together PK for our initials and we know our photos will reach
the top and see them climbing to the top, the name
was perfect. Thank you very much for creating a name that best fits
us (you know who you are). I work with a great
retoucher, who is always reliable, and willing to show you an example
proof when your pic is completed, if you need any
changes made, SPEAK UP! Thank you all for making our dream come true,
and for believing in us. We will strive to take
the best photograph of your child. Also, we have done family pictures,
holidays, sports, and special events. Our in home
based studio is located in Marietta, OK between OK City and Dallas,
centrally located. We look forward to meeting you
all. Thanks for viewing our work Pat & Kim
